The Old Tree Poem by Timber Koleden

The Old Tree

Rating: 5.0

I stand tall and strong, a silent sentinel,
My roots deep-reaching, a story to tell.
My branches spread wide, a canopy grand,
A haven for birds, a whispering band.

My leaves in the spring, a vibrant display,
Of emerald hues, chasing the sun's golden ray.
Through summer's warm kiss, they dance in the breeze,
A symphony rustling, among the tall trees.

In autumn's embrace, they paint the world anew,
With fiery reds, and oranges, a vibrant hue.
Then fall to the earth, a carpet so deep,
A silent surrender, secrets they keep.

I've seen the seasons, in cycles of time,
Withstood storms and sun, in their relentless climb.
My bark, weathered and worn, a testament true,
To the strength and the beauty, of all I pursue.

What am I, then, this wonder so grand?
A steadfast protector, of this beautiful land.
