You made me visualize that rocking chair & its guardian angel, your granddaughter. My grandmother handed me an ancestral brass lamp,4 feet tall, to take care of it after her. Attachment & responsibility are both reflected in this poem.....A sweet 10.

Marilyn, it is remarkable how old furniture becomes dear to our hearts and holds for us so many memories. Don't you often wonder who else may have sat in it and enjoyed it too, maybe a President or a Hollywood star or someone equally famous, or maybe just someone who rocked back and forward always wanting to be. Old furniture always have a history if only they could talk. Top marks and thanks for sharing this lovely piece with us my friend. Hugs David
