Look at what is happening in countries where populations are ageing and the proportion of old people go up. India gradually inching up to that situation. And with life-style changing one can imagine the plight of old left to their own devices. Being an old man myself, I wrote the piece first person. Thank you for sympathising! ! !

Thank you indeed Dr Swain. Poets use a lot of metaphors and comparisons, and yet, comparisons are best avoided as they say. Life is full of contradictions, and that I think is the beauty of life.
