The Ode To The Unknown Patriotic Martyrs' Grave At Hongju Poem by Kinsley Lee

The Ode To The Unknown Patriotic Martyrs' Grave At Hongju

The unknown warriors stood in righteousness and fought at their best,
Though buried together in the one grove, for eternal rest.
But their birthplaces and times may never been the same,
With one heart and fidelity, they served their nation's aim.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I have been to HongSeong and and visited the big grave for unknown militias. They resisted against the Japanese colony government but annihilated a hundred ana 10 years ago. During the old dynasty, the king and the highborn noble sold the country and made fortunes, and middle classed learned people resisted against the colony government.
