In the society
as voice gets muted,
afraid of numbers
afraid of its own echo
Nobody seems to seek
The path of enlightenment,
The era of the exalted Buddha,
Nirvana or salvation from
The cycle of Karmic bondages.
But the number of times
They visited the shrines
or offered homage
under media coverage
alone counts.
