Humming Hymns
Beautiful and pure delight
Caught another birdies sight
As he gazed upon the lily
And the Nightingale unity.
Just a bird whom Nature wronged
Humming-bird without a song
Since I flap my wings so fast-
My life-span is not quite long.
Feeling wronged and underrated
The new love scene, he soon evaded
Sucking nectar from the roses,
As he orbits round the Orchids.
Fluttering amidst perfume
Under Hawks that plot his doom
Humming-Bird begins to hum
Of his world that wore him numb
Wingless flights and windless skies
For Angelic creatures eyes
For my wings they flap too fast
So my life it doesn't last.
That's the song I'll shortly sing
Even under vulture's wing
Since my life is nice and short
I shall live it like a King.
And the humming-bird did live
Til his wings their flapping seized
Life's too short to hide our words.
We can learn from humming-birds.
