The Night Watcher Poem by Sophie Allyah

The Night Watcher

Rating: 5.0

Understand the power I hold
To see far, to hear amass
To feel the heat and the cold

To judge and execute in cognition
To utter a voice and speak the truth
To know the scents before recognition

Where I stand is unfaltering
Far from any land, on the sea
The peered moon is now striking

O dreadful night
Darkness in full puissance
They leveled up in might

O mystifying sea
What secrets lie in possession
Waiting to reveal by intrusion

In the deepest night of the sea
The wind, the darkness are overpowering
The moon and the stars are all that to see
