The Night Of Shiva/ A Nataraja Shiva Sculpture Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Night Of Shiva/ A Nataraja Shiva Sculpture

The Night of Siva

Shivaratri,
Mahashivaratri,
The Night of Shiva,
The Great of Shiva,
Shiva as a groom going to marry.

Into the tiger loincloth
The hair lying matted,
Seated on a bull
And with the trishula and the kamandala
And the sacred thread over the bare body
And the three ash-lines over the forehead
Where the trinetra is
And the crescent on the side of the forehead.

A Nataraja Shiva Sculpture

A dark black metallic sculpture,
A small statue of
Nataraja Shiva,
Shiva as the Cosmic Dancer,
The King of Dancers
In a dancing posture
So full of delight, ananda
Overwhelming him.
