The Night Is My Blanket Poem by Richard Wlodarski

The Night Is My Blanket

Rating: 5.0

The night is my blanket
Keeping me kindly warm
From insecurity

Her full moon bathing me
In purity of light
Her sky shining down stars

She blesses me with sleep
I dream of her in kind
Waking to meet her friend

I never thought night as feminine; nor day as a friend.(or is the friend the sun?)

Leaving imagery to the reader's interpretation is part of the fun of writing poetry.

A night full of love and romance, I liked the idea and extended imagination about night. Full *****
