The Night Before Christmas Poem by DM W

The Night Before Christmas

Snowflakes decorate the streets and gardens.
Christmas lights rage against winter's silence.
Families and friends huddle 'round warm fires.
Love glows like rubies in their hearts and minds.
Soon dream- visions will arrive in the night,
Studded with stars and a magical moon,
As they once did in dusty, ancient times;
Prompted by the birth of one who was
Rarer than gold: an immaculate soul.
Faithful ones form new songs in praise of Him.
O artists and poets still discover
Imaginative ways of expressing
His countenance, His gentleness and grace.
The night before Christmas is filled with bliss.
