Today's world needs more socially aware students like Shelly. Ones who have conviction and courage! This excellent poem should be posted for the world to see. Top marks, Shelly!
One of the best socio-exploratory verification works, ever to be written as poem!
Excellent! A very fine and complete resume of our society and actions, today.
It was just reported that we couldnt post that on facebook because the poem goes back to 1964 they say, kinda ridiculous, whether its old or new, its true, they cant handle it i guess
If you do a bit more research, you'll find this poem published in 1999 and again in 2004 and every year after. It gives someone new credit every time. What did we call that? Oh yes, plagiarism' still worth the read and the sharing!

If you search for the words Now I sit me down in school, you'll find this poem attributed to several people, with versions (a word changed here or there) going back to 1992. So, although it is a good poem, it was written well before 2015.
so sad, please pray for our children our students. This should Not be.
Religion is your OWN PERSONAL BUSINESS, practising the GOLDEN RULE, is EVERYBODYS' BUSINESS.
Golden Rule, precept in the Gospel of Matthew (7: 12) : "In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you...." This rule of conduct is a summary of the Christian's duty to his neighbour and states a fundamental ethical principle.
Nicely written, Shelly. Although I believe the law is a good one.
Shelly, It was such a deep and powerful message. Who can children trust now days, when even the families break apart and friendships are forgotten or fake. Trust in God and keep praying, remember God can even hear our thoughts and hearts.
