Interesting perspective, Clive. I'm not sure if the last stanza is meant to be hopeful or ironic (considering world conditions 16 years later...) . For my take on the millenium you might like to read my Epitaph of the Twentieth Century and in the same vein, Remember Shanghai New Year.
