samanyan you express yourself well, but this serious subject seems more appropriate for an essay or editorial I challenge you to write a poem related to a fun event in your life, just to see what your relaxed nature is like

The search for knowledge should always be a joy, a joy that should last a life time. Unfortunately some lose this joy by the regimentation of exams. Bob

A very good thought provoking poem Lakshmi. Today's education has become a routine rote of given syllabi, without really gaining any wisdom. Thanks for this wonderful piece.

sir, this poem touches home. the education system to me has just become a machinery. I see, ' fools' excelling an di wonder why exactly the world is goign or what are we really learning... or how does this help the world. I am currently enrolled in this class where the professor give the questions before the exam.. many student don't even read the book, they just scan through to attain the answers.. and thye all wan tto be doctors.. I think this is sad.. Its all in th ename of a grade.. Grades say nothing about brilliance.. not a thing. Thanks for the read.

Your fine poem raises several good points about the problems of modern education, samanyan, both in India and around the world, including here in the US. I think the main flaw in any educational system is that students are not taught individually or to their own unique abilities. They are just part of the system, and education of them is aimed at a far lower level than it should be. Despite all the technical advances in teaching techniques, children can't spell, cannot name world capitals, or know much about geography, and few can actually write a coherent sentence. Your fine poem is very thought provoking and many of us around the world share your concerns. Carl.

Originality, creative and inventive type of minds are crushed by the cramming type of education which needs to be reformed and then only students ask new questions to themselves and to others for scrutiny and development for doing best service for the nation and the world by becoming leaders in all walks of life! We have to perpetuate such thoughts and make that day dawn soon!
