All socks are quite devious,
White socks love pranks the most, it's obvious.
Bright, shiny as new white socks are,
They sometimes make you wonder…
For "hide-and-seek" they like playing
In the machine washing!
O, the smaller its size,
The harder the single sock to find.
Like Houdini, after each laundry,
A single sock may vanish instantly!
White socks are notorious particularly.
Searching everywhere is not funny.
Stuck to the white bottom of the machine,
The white sock is not easily seen.
O, the smaller its size,
The harder the single sock to find.
Making itself hard to find,
The single white sock sometimes hides
In the sleeve of a shirt,
Or on the underside of a skirt.
Look at it this way: it's a battle of wits,
Though entertaining it may give you fits.
O, the smaller its size,
The harder the single sock to find.
