The Most Dangerous Prisoner Of Colorado Poem by Sophie Allyah

The Most Dangerous Prisoner Of Colorado

Hardened muscle made for hustle
Maintained power and might
To dominate and dazzle
Ruler of misfits or rather we
called criminals
In a steel bar that specially made
to prevent more crimes to society
More like a demon than we ever be
Cemented his role in history
Hurled by evidence, reputation,
fictions and fame
Sometimes shocking and brutal
with an iron fist to put them to shame
This is Marvin Gray

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Marvin Gayle Gray was an American murderer and suspected serial killer who gained fame in the 2000s due to his deviant behavior. Being a powerlifter, Gray, while imprisoned, achieved incredible results in powerlifting, almost breaking world records. Since 1992, relying on his physical strength, he committed several rapes and murders of fellow inmates, which resulted in taking exceptional measures against Gray by putting him in a high-security prison's solitary confinement cell, restriction of movement within the prison and others.
He died of heart failure on July 23,2013.
