The Most Beautiful Word Poem by David Byer

The Most Beautiful Word

I asked AI
for the
the most
"beautiful" word

It couldn't say
since it
can't see a word's
aurora of light
as it leaves my lips
and travels through the air.

Nor can it feel the
gossamer softness
of the word "Love"
as it caresses the heart
of my one and only.

Having no soul,
nor family nor culture
to peel the layers away
and know,
the euphoria and power
of the simply gorgeous words
"I will rise".

It might by serendipity,
stumble across a gem
that ranks high on it's
algorithm of data and likes,
but still fails to move my heart
an inch closer to another

While spewing out nonsense,
deaf, dumb and blind,
mimicking beauty,
but never experiencing or feeling,
it stumbles and bursts through the cellar door down into
it's own hallucinations:

The title of 'most beautiful' word
in the English language is ultimately subjective,
shaped by personal taste, cultural context,
and the criteria used -
such as sound, meaning, or imagery.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I actually did ask AI for the word.. it gave a few suggestions which I have added into the poem, but the last stanza is it's first reply...
