The Moses Syndrome Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Moses Syndrome

The Moses Syndrome

And all in all
And when everything is counted,

Every numerals included, the sums, the subtractions,
Subdivided,

And the total costs,
All the sums of your life is in your head,

Nothing takes the treasures you have amassed in your lifetime of travels,

Every roads you have taken you leased to your soul, the map of the universe,

The maps you have kept in your heart,
When you travel once again in the roads to eternity,

You have taken this trip alone to this sacred mountains,

Moses you have seen God.
You have been given the ten commandments

Your God keeps you in your enlightened throne,

You have seen the brilliant lights at the end of the tunnels.
