let wee assume that the moon is metaphorical, and that it shines at night as the sun do at day time, then we know how much the children need the parents, while a smile from them will illuminate the path forever, and thus our expert poet here manipulates words to formulate new meanings and complete the process of his brilliant creativity, and this is what we expect from the talented poet Like Shaun, well done and thanks for this great work 10/10 and onto my favorite list

Wonderful, wonderful poem from a brilliant Poet. A poetic gem that will forever shine in the hearts of childeren and even adults. So beautifully crafted and presented with great rhyme and compelling imagery. Onto my Poem List.
Lovely poem Shaun..simple, but very imagination like a all good poetry should beI I adore these kinds of poems especially similar themed ones by Walter de la Mare. i'll definitely share this one with my youngest niece. I think she will really like it. Anyway, it's a moonlight tainted ten from me!
This has been amended and tightened up a wee bit more and flows more smoothly. But it will take time for the new amended version to register.
