The Moon Mistress Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Moon Mistress

The Moon Mistress,

I have watched you,
Something of a new spark, something of a new,
Sweetness, moonlights, fresh accord,
When lights first appeared, cameto my unlighted moor,

There was nothing more, just as a woman can give, or a man can resist,
Just as this floral undressing between the two of us,
Flavored entrances, distancies between an Adam and an Eve,

just as a moralists would condemned it as a weakness of the flesh,
Just as the two of us would blushed at the most vulnerable points, tenderness believed it to be mutualblessings,

Just as we would believe our new love story, just as two strangers propounded it was beautiful,

our love will sing,
And begins as something hopeful as a new miracle,
You came along astemptation as unlikely as a moon mistress,

The night's passage recorded long ago and unforgotten as a cherished memory,

Life is one thing unforgettable and un regrettable something's will always be set a-flamed, behind,
