The Moon Poem by Prasenjit Roy

The Moon

The moon lies on a distant path away,
Casts bright lustre, in a celestial way...
She touches the heart of earth with gentle light,
Poet measures her beauty on a full-moon night.

Like a lover's gaze, it shines so bright,
A constant companion, in the dark of night...
It rises and falls, like love's own tide,
And takes our childhood to a fairy ride.

In its humble beams, we find our peace,
A reflection of dreams, our souls release...
The Moon, a mirror, to our deepest sighs,
A heavenly friend, that touches the skies.

Her soft whispers, a lullaby sweet,
Echoes through eternity, our hearts to greet...
A mystic glow, that transcends space and time,
That little fellow murmurs her in his school rhyme.
