The Moon Poem by Sneha R

The Moon

I saw the moon at a distance
Why not say 10000 miles for instance
I watched as it moved slowly with grace
It didn't seem to stay in one place

Thundering typhoons! I saw a mass flying by
A mass as dark as the night sky
A demon shaped cloud, I thought the moon would fight
But no, it didn't, it continued it's slow flight

And out of the fiend she came
And sought not to have fame
But sought to have peace
Because, after all, peace is free and nice
Isn't it?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We can learn a lot from nature. Peace has become really rare in today's times. I had written this poem when I was in 5th grade. The childish observation I made betrayed the fact that nature can inculcate so many values in people.
