Tell me if the government have not failed us!
Tell me if life has not betrayed us!
Tell me if our deeds have not ruined us!
Tell me if our greed have really helped us!
When the egg with unrighteous scent was unveiled
We clamoured for its reign
We both applauded its dominion
We chased away life in its fullness to a place of no return
We bodly embrace misery without remorse
Then it was clothed in a beautiful regalia
Time anxiety knows us not
And adversity wasn't close to our door post
We made war with our own clan
The good we subdue with our deeds
Indeed this is the monsters we made
Our conscience we bar from consciousness
Is this the life we desired to live?
Is this the air we all need for breath?
Is this the way we ought to dress?
Could this be our madness or craze?
Deceit we adore with pride
The upright we've refused for the men off guide
With our hands we've chased our smile
Our inaction and actions have brought us harm
Our greed inflict more injuries to our soul
It is the tragedy we all prayed for
It is the disaster we both stood for
Is this no longer the sound of our gong?
Then we were eager to mix right with wrong
If God did not create man
May be our calamity would have being less
In the midst of other creatures we are prey to the predators
Spit it out it will do you no harm
Trigger it to the king ear drum
And them that refused to fear God
Our menace aren't far from us
It was liberation we once seek for before the coming of the dooms day
Calamity they've sent from afar to befall us
Equity they have silenced with their own gun
Men who said they aren't afraid of God.
