The Mind Of A Novice Poet (Part 1) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

The Mind Of A Novice Poet (Part 1)

A bundle within I carry
Restless spring
The weight burdensome heavy
Wrapped in transparent membrane
Struggling to burst
With content vague

A window opens often
Third eye glimpse I see
Flashes of treasure buried
Wrapped around things I see
Things I hear
Things I feel
Waiting exploration
Waiting expression
My well of spring

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When I started writing poems, I did not know the components or elements of poetry. Based on what I see, hear, feel or experienced, the words just formed in my head and I put them down the way they come with little adjustments.
