The Men Of Their Choice Poem by Archana Singh

The Men Of Their Choice

Rating: 4.5

Eyes are moist, throat is choked to see you sleeping in eternal bed,
Words are suppresed in heart, only tears are shed,
I chase your shadows which left us long back,
I know the truth But heart doesn't accept you won't come back.
It's like a bird pierced with an arrow,
All hopes lay in narrow,
Trying to search the footprints wherever you went
Trying to cast my eyes to find your shreds,
My heart is heavy, full of grief
Just asking my soul to the reply.
Oh my men! You were gallant to fight,
You were the men of your choice,
I know you won't come back,
But your actions will always haunt us,
I see the fluttering flag revealing many stories,
It reminds us of all your valour and glories.
All can't die for the nation,
All can't live for the nation,
Only the men like you shed their blood for the nation,
Only the men like you shed their blood for the nation,
I salute all those brave men, who sacrificed their lives for the nation,
I salute all those brave men, who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
