Your frank self-scrutiny strikes a chord in me. INMATES OF INTELLECT is a telling phrase, because self-sabotaging tendencies are enslaved and enslaving. However, If human beings did nothing but assert raw will, there would be nothing to love. You discern so many tentative, fragile sprouts worthy of being fostered.
I believe, that once we are able to see ourselves in the mirror, we can reflect upon it and do things that are necessary to enhance its desirability. Since you have already identified 'the me in me, ' the future course of events can be monitored and controlled to a large extend. Loved the poem very much.
The 'you' in you...a drill in philosophy....it is natural for u to become soft yet outspoken, open yet conservative, smile yet melancholy....the emotions narrated in a classic style by you....10 points
An intense, deep piece, sharing thoughts that many can identify with, I wish you freedom, hope and trust! !
fill your heart with beautiful colours of nature and cheer up always to see dreams of hope
Poignant. Touching. Soul searchinģ. Beautifully written. Yet beyond self discovery is a life to discover. Life is too short not to stand among the flowers and smell them. I give perfect 10.
I teased none As I never practised it. I hurt nobody As I knew its agony I loved none As all denied me the same. Failed in believing others. . Solitude, sweet melodies dreams myths silence negative outlooks wishing freedom Either I may succeed or they may win over what will happen next That I leave to the future. So many points I collected as I read your poem. here they are. A very fine poem with so many ideas and the internal struggle to emerge from the negative to positive. Loved this poem very much. Tony naturally a big 10 +
I recommend THE PRISON IN MY HEART on my PoemHunter page. It presents a contrasting view on what you call the inmates of intellect. I did not write it: it is my translation of a friend's poem.
