The Master Speaker Poem by Daniel Brick

The Master Speaker

Rating: 5.0

Inspired by MYSTIC! THE HAND OF GOD!
by Liza Sud

The Master Speaker has lived with this poem
he has chosen, threaded it into the fabric
of his daily life. He even placed it
in a deeep niche of his cavernous memory.
All that was Preparation... Now -
he is ready, fully empowered as Neruda
put it, to speak the poem outloud,
into the hearing of our needful selves.
He raises his voice like a gold chalice,
filled with dense wine, and splashes words
into the closest intimate space we share.
We, his rapt listeners, will soon add
the Poet's Vision to our own. He begins:
'Mystic! The Hand of God! /We are ruled from above.... '

This is so majestic- and there are quite a few places we can go with this, lovely places, mystic places, unknown places. This one is personal- - He raises his voice like a gold chalice, filled with dense wine, and splashes words into the closest intimate space we share. We, his rapt listeners, will soon add the Poet's Vision to our own.- - That is the voice of my Uncle Charles who was training to be a pastor, whose voice rolled like God's over our heads as he read from the Bible. It's like you stepped into my life, Daniel. I wonder how many other readers feel the same way- -that your poem speaks about a Master Speaker, a Master Poet, an enigma of a Spiritual Leader they had in their childhood that you cause them to recall with this very powerful poem. Your imagination and talent are huge and magnificent, Daniel. An incredible 10 +++++++++++++

here the answer: It sounds so pathetic: I feel myself like a priest, coming to people from ambon and giving them Eucharist. Thank you for high appraisal! Light is both wine and bread/ Since I am christian lady - to Christ I'll give my place. Drink only from pure chalice - only Orthodox wine! Do I sound too fanatic? Seem just like saint John's wife? Dear, I have no way out. (sincerely, noone has) Speaker begins to master in closeness to God. He speaks the opened stories after you clean your eyes. Stories become so obvious ruled by the hands of lights! I am too shy to impose my own wine on you. Is that brand really worthy? - poems of Liza Sud...
