I am just a simple person With tons of gold And lots of diamonds Sitting at the bottom Of my heart......fantastic expression. A beautiful poem so nicely executed.10
you are keen observer of life - self satisfaction carries (unseen) heavenly happy- I live in a house So old and tiny Devoid of gadgets And fancy furniture Yet, I am Absolutely happy. nice
Rose Marie, the last stanza says it all. There is a billionaire from Australia in his forties. Inherited wealth. Has everything but at the present time he is suffering deep depression. Material wealth is comforting to a point. We live in our minds not in grand houses.++10

How true. How true. A very pleasant poem to read and an eye opener for those only thinking about money and luxury. If the heart and soul are not complete? theres no gold in the world that can complete it.
I live in a house So old and tiny Devoid of gadgets And fancy furniture Yet, I am Absolutely happy. Your life is hundred times better than your wealthy friend.
The humble home is the one holding little so that it can embrace its family, you expressed this beautifully, I like your poetry and your unique style!

Yes! ! But in her heart she felt like homeless. The truth is better than silver and gold! She needs the truth to bring her wisdom! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
Such wonderful comments, Edward. Liked it. Thank you for the visit.
Wow wow, Rose Marie... I hope this poem will be chosen someday... a perfect 10+++
Thank you for your kind words and faith in me. As always, your visit is highly appreciated.
Wisdom for those who seek the wrong kind of wealth. Thanks poetess and friend.
Sometimes we are over-complicating our pursuit of the basics of happiness. We are possibly overlooking what we already have and missing out on happiness in the process. Having a “Mansion” with tons of gold hanging in the chandeliers and lots of silver embedded in the kitchen wares is far from making us happy.
