People leave and join the site for many reasons, hopefully most receiving multiple comments will eventually receive them, time has many ways for the past to catch up with the present. 'Wrapped in cold and thin. Why not throw open the doors And let the stranger in? ' echoes of many great poets here, passion will stay the course, passion has a way of compelling the passionate back on track.

Kelly Kurt is so right. George has not posted anything since 15 Oct 2013, so he may never see all these nice comments people are leaving for him. He probably never uses this site anymore. It is a great poem, however. Wonderful thoughts about welcoming someone into your own circle.

Great poems are written from the heart! It's then easiest to relate by others.

Let us drop our false vanity and be friends with the world. Thanks. I quote: Why not throw open the doors / And let the stranger in? / So welcome in the stranger / Call him friend again

After reading several of your poems, I can only echo Jack Growden's comment, still your best piece. If moved to do so, check out a few of my poems. Cheers!
