Forty years back
on a rainy day
I started my student life
in an engineering college
With bag and baggage
I reached the hostel
with my dear father
new place, new life
hostel life, first time
slowly got settled
Came the time of departure
for my father from me:
the drenched atmosphere
full of nostalgia
myself bidding farewell to father
in teary eyes
as he was walking past me
the transition phase of life..
I got separated from my dear father
in the pursuit of my career
that emotional departure
set the tone of my inspiration
and fulfill my father's dream
me an engineer, with flying colours.
