The Love Song Poem by RATIKANTA SAMAL

The Love Song

Wish to sing a beautiful love song
Honeyed spring pours feeling in me;
My heart is flavoured in happiness
While sweet breezes thrill me.

Infatuated rhythm blows from tope
Red-eyed cuckoo bird does sing;
Assure her to sing love song again
Wrapping the wounds of her sting.

I must sing the love song and dance
Monsoon has washed away my tear;
And she has bathed me in her rain
I return to spring with love and care.

Why can't I sing love songs again?
Hot summer has fetched pride in me;
And I do feel myself very small at her
She smiles at the change that I see.

Honeyed spring brought me wavy love
The cloudless starry sky welcomes us;
The stars nictitate for meeting of souls
Allow singing love songs with stimulus.
