Idle in solemn anticipation for she knows what she has become.
Soon the moon and stars will give way to such longing.
With each new day gives her the belief of promise.
In desperation to touch his face, she is longing for his kiss.
Strands of pearl and diamonds adorn her hair.
An undeniable beauty, with the lure of undying love.
Her alluring eyes as blue as the Celtic sea, her seductive sweet song.
Confusing to his heart and mind, yet his passion for her is strong.
Treasures held close to her heart, a small pebble, tiny shells,
She touches a simple gold chain with abalone that dances upon her neck.
Possessing simple trinkets found on days that they have shared.
For that is all she has of him, when he is no longer there.
His words of coins of gold and papers of green that dazzle his eyes,
She listens to every tale, ambitious words of riches, never inclusive of her.
He speaks to her of far away travel and places, places she will never know.
All she can offer is love eternal, but he will still go, he always goes.
She cannot possess him for herself, he is a free as any mortal man can be.
He knows not what aches within her heart, within her immortal soul.
Keeping her silence in the name of love, for he will never see.
Her emotions come suddenly unprovoked, always unpredictably.
The Sirens sing in unison as she calls out his name, for she is brokenhearted
In despair that she not seek revenge, they've seen this kind of love before.
Her Sisters of the Sea watch her shed tears of silvery pearls from her eyes.
To be with him she'll seek her mortal soul, for she mourns she has fast become a Lorelei.
