The Lord's Tears Poem by Ray Hansell

The Lord's Tears

Last night in the chapel praying
I heard the Lord as He was crying
He was sad and broken hearted
For He believed we were not trying

He sees all the fighting
He sees all the hate
In His heart He hopes and prays
That it's not too late

But He fears for all the people
Especially those who don't believe in Him
He sees the anger and the mistrust
Too many hearts are filled with sin

He cries for all the people
Every living soul on earth
Because He believes
That every life is of great worth

He hopes we'll find the answer
As He sees the world is slowly dying
His heart is sad and broken
That's why he can't help crying
