Your ability to express your your inner vision through poetic words is superb. I liked this short poem very much, just for this.

Oh, I just joined your fan base! ! ! ! This is powerful- -and you didn't wince once. I am afraid to admit that I flinched. If a person can take the brutal truth and use it to shed the unworthy parts of their selves, their souls would indeed shine. I loved this poem. Yes, I flinched but I recognize its truth and how bravely you presented it. It is a poem that once read will stick in my memory and perhaps stab me when I need a stabbing or perhaps a little pruning.

I am humbled by your comment. Thank you so very much. Indeed, it is a very powerful poem and so very true. When I write a poem, I see my reflection in it. I try to dig deep into my psyche and resurrect the murky parts of it with view to bringing them to my attention and fixing the defects. We are so weak but acknowledging it can bring about the real change.

Nice touch in the metaphoric knife. The way we see ourselves hidden. Constantly tearing pieces of ourselves. I thoroughly enjoyed this :) KW
