The Look That Kills Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

The Look That Kills

Deception of reflection,
each mirror so enthralls
Calling in our timeless hope,
frozen in its pall

Its backing silver plated,
to seal the ego's dream
Lending what cannot be bought
—deadly in its gleam
