The Long Trek Back Poem by james watkin

The Long Trek Back

A crystal light, for to stir
A fatigued gaze!
But does it compensate
Chandelier-hung
In a starred gleam, a-swirl
For this? No, girl.

What cheers for those home-fires.
Comforts, for this
As fiery impassioned
As wide, out-flung
Love's hearth, open hearted.
Looked for; ahead.
