This is a very well written poem, Terry, one that has an undercurrent of failure, frustration, sorrow, and even hope, but is not unbowed because of the fate which has befallen the protagonist. He keeps moving towards that distant goal with no thought of turning back. The hope emerges in that final verse which is a very fitting conclusion to this fine poem. You have shown a great talent for poetic expression in this moving and outstanding poem. Carl.
