You make a telling point here. The pre-dawn darkness is always a peaceful time, but the day may bring conflicts and trouble. Solitude is everything. I like the photo a lot.

I can relate to this poem. I am a woman of the morning. I love its quiet solitude and the safety of the tousled sunlight. There is something about the word tousled....love it. It s a sensual word one can luxuriate in before becoming a truly awake person. To think of the sun in a tousled state is unique... and fitting. A very uplifting hopeful poem.

My heart leapt as I read this , full marks you captured exactly how I feel I too love the early mornings Frank I lived in a monastery for many years and rose around 330am every morning It's the lonely time that poets love So succient and so well penned

Your verse seem formed exactly as a traditional greek verse of thousand years in use.11 or 12 - 15 syllables cut in two.In the second half verse mostly an expansion of the first half verse in meaning [explanation], something more, something different...See this of yours ''Morning is comfort's muse, // the world anew, //the second half adds something more not quite different.I like this metre , as all greeks too, because it gives you the time to absorb meaning and feeling spread.Kudos.
