The Little Girl Behind The Door Poem by Esther Ajibola

The Little Girl Behind The Door

Rating: 3.0

The Little Girl.....
The little girl behind the door
never saw the light
but the ray which never advanced into a beam
she admired it so much that she thought that;
that was how life was to be

she had such a little view and
never wondered where the light came from
she never wanted to wander away from her place of comfort!

She died with no memories
of what the outside world looked like
with no magical view of the sun!

Sighting heaven now,
she wished she could go back
and question the source of the ray of light
that never advanced into a beam.
and forever she remained to be
the little girl behind the door which never
saw the world nor witnessed the magical view of the sun!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

There are many in the world, even today, who live a life confined to some illogical prison, not allowed to see the light of the day.5*
