The Lily Of September Poem by Bartholomew Arkoh Boamah Sarbah

The Lily Of September

The night breezed gently by
with whispers of love
and melodic tunes of heavenly descend

They were shadows of joy
welcoming a new birth;
the Lily of September

Her smile is elegant,
And preys upon
the sorrows of our hearts;

The Lily of September,
Sparkles with beauty
and glitters daily in the rising sun

And her gorgeous steps,
full of perpetual gracefulness
wins the sight of her ill wishers

Who walks with such splendor?
Who exudes such striking countenance?
None, but the Lily of September
