“the Lifting Of My Heart” Poem by Lost Soul

“the Lifting Of My Heart”

What if you wanted something
but that something was taken.

What if what you wanted,
wasn’t yours to take.

Do you give up
or do you try to get it back
what was taken?

Years will past you
and you have yet to take a grasp.
What will become of you?
What will become of that something that you left for the past?
Time slowly fades away until death.
What was meant to be mine
has been ripped away from me.
She slowly drifts away with time.
O why have you taken her?
She was mine in my heart!
She was mine, until you let her fall apart!
Why does thy Lost Soul feel so empty?
Others await for my return
“Don’t give up, at least try.”

Trying to stand tall,
I walk with no care.
Trying not to fall,
I run with a straight stare,
Eyeing the angel that made me whole.
Running, Running trying to grasp the falling
Within the darkness is my love
Do you hear her calling?
I fall beside her and take a grasp of hope
But we slip, falling, falling
I glance into her eyes and my heart lifts
She has returned and we fall together
