The Life And Livelihood Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

The Life And Livelihood

I'm Poetry, shamelessly standing naked-
Exposed expressing in front of the world
Some love and embrace, some kick and hate
But, I go on embracing those embraces of pain
And soreness caused during the course of time
For a long time discomfort though-
I go with worth, the everlasting beautiful smile
Having all those feelings so expressed.

I'm Poetry, shamelessly standing naked-
Exposed expressing in front of the world
A wonderful platform to express-
Anything confidential or confessional
And secretly close to me or my heart-
Standing, a mirror to the contemporary world
Reflecting, true image of society before eyes-
But, I'm nowhere displayed on any of the walls
Amazed feeling shocked, yet flying in the sky.

I'm Poetry, shamelessly standing naked-
Exposed expressing in front of the world
No dearth of procedures at all-
Bringing true facts to the fore, lasting impact
A collective integral part of the integrity-
Where one's conscience is the sole evidence
As a piece of literature, I love to discuss my life
Hate not, so much scrutiny about personal-life
To be, marking my presence with original take.

I'm Poetry, shamelessly standing naked-
Exposed expressing in front of the world
Setting aside all my joys and sorrows-
Taking a nap of my all walks of day and night
Making sure, it warns rest of the world-
Least bothering about the life and livelihood.
