The Life Poem by Goutam Chakraborty

The Life

The life
Goutam Chakraborty

Yesterday, I caught a glimpse of life,
Humming its tune on the winding road.
I searched for her, high and low,
Finding her smile, with eyes aglow.

After an eternity, I felt the spark,
As she caressed me, and soothed my dark.
I asked, 'Why the pain and endless strife? '
She laughed, 'I'm life itself, my child, teaching you to live.'
