The Left Has Gone Insane I-Vii Poem by David Welch

I.
A conservative came to town to speak
at a college the other day,
some students disagreed with how he thought,
so they protested, had their say.
When student news chose to report on
the event that had gone on there,
the students claimed that merely reporting
was a threat and made them feel ‘scared.'
They ranted and raved and complained so much
they bullied an apology,
the paper should've just told them to quit
whining like oversized babies.
Just reporting the news will hurt them all,
that is what these lunatics claim,
I think it's far time we admit the truth,
the left has gone bloody insane.

II.
A politician just said to her crowd
what need have we for a border?
It's a good thing to help poor folks in need,
we should let them all come over.
Even thought cartels control who gets through,
and subject the women to rape,
then off the choice ones as concubines,
dooming them to an awful fate.
And even when most of those foreigners
flagrantly violate our rules,
take people's jobs, undercut all our laws,
yet lefties still think it's all cool? !
Now they want us to pay for their health care,
when we cannot afford the same?
It's fair to say they're not on our side,
the left has gone friggin' insane.

III.
And now a state has decided it's fine
to kill babies just before birth,
that an infant who's at thirty-nine weeks
really has no value or worth.
A full-formed child that can feel real pain
means less that someone's convenience,
but they still claim to love premature babes…
explain how that makes any sense?
Evil enough to murder the unborn,
but to target full-formed humans?
Makes me think the Christians may be right,
and the Devil does walk the land.
No one with a should could ever excuse
making innocents feel such pain,
much less declare such things make them moral,
they're evil as well as insane.

IV.
Not that long ago a lefty journalist
put down an even madder take,
that the 1st Amendment got it all wrong,
and that free speech is a mistake.
That we must silence all the hateful,
and those that cause too much ‘offense, '
now who will decide what's good and what's bad?
They claim they will, without pretense.
The same left who whined the religious right
was censoring them all those years,
yet now they claim they know what's best to say,
proclaim we have nothing to fear?
As if only their ideas need hearing,
diverse thought they won't even feign,
a page right out of the tyrant's playbook,
these lefties have all gone insane.

V.
Twas only a handful of weeks ago
that I wentand did see
all those black-clad cowards of ANTIFA
swinging in a wild melee.
A man recording what was going on,
was struck many times in the head;
you see he disagreed, so they beat on him
until into his brain he bled.
But did the left's politicians cry
that such violence we can't abide?
Of course they didn't, they all stayed silent,
were tacitly on the thug's side.
Some even compared them to heroes past,
to brave men who fought at D-Day? !
If all those veterans were still with us now,
I think I know what they would say.
They would tear right through these terrorist scum,
put an end to ANTIFA's reign,
then wonder loudly, like the rest of us,
why is the left so damn insane?

VI.
Can't forget the mainstream media types,
all partisans and proud of it,
the right-wingers see right through their charade,
and rate their word lower than spit.
But the left's legions of rank and file
still think that what they speak is real,
when they proclaims folks Nazis every day
what as those poor people to feel?
In the lust to attack a president,
they fill the air-waves with their lies,
make the unaware think doom is coming,
when in fact we are flying high.
The dissonance builds up inside these folk,
until the stress burns out their brain;
media leftists, the worst of the worst,
they're driving these people insane.

VII.
And it seems every day I see the some
record has been set in girl's sports,
though it's not the women doing it,
but gender-confused men, of course
since the left declares that it's all the same
if your feeling female inside,
and women expecting fair playing fields
just felt a part of themselves die.
And they'll put men in women's prisons now,
if female is what the declare,
then act shocked when he rapes other inmates,
as if we all were unaware…
Every woman doomed to disadvantage,
all their efforts to be in vain,
evolution itself now wonders how
the left has gotten this insane.
