The Last Respect For A Friend Poem by Ponniah Ganeshan

The Last Respect For A Friend

You designed my face with your whims and fancies
Based on thethought of your own
Based on the thoughts thrusterupon.
From then on, all my words for you, are disappeared
Likewise the all the smiles for you
Are dried up from me.

With the same faceyou created for me,
With the same eyes you created for me
You died and vanished in thin air!
I have become unqualified to pay
The last respect for you.

Among the flies swarmingaround
On your dead body.
I place the wreath at your head invisible
Itis burning as oil lamp with a pedestal
With the sense of grief in my heart,
Only visible to me!
May your soul rest in peace!
