The Last Meeting Poem by Muhammad Umair

The Last Meeting

There was something strange
About that last meeting.
Everyone knew they'd change,
Yet the songs of eternity did they sing.
Glances held a queer meloncholy;
Hugs, kisses were exchanged sadly.

Wishing each other the best for the future,
Sad selfies and crying photos were taken.
Even tears trembled to behold the departure;
'Would stay forever' was then to be forsaken.
The last meeting kept everyone closer,
As if they knew that it was over.
