I enjoyed this loving homage to the elderly. Romance lives on in their souls and they'll take it into eternity with them. Very good write and a lovely heart beats in this poem
Music makes our romance the eternal dance, Moves on the ballroom floor slow but graceful, Like swans on a ripple free lake, Reflecting an elderly couple that never neglected Their spirits, still so supple, All part of a love that God must have helped, From the heavens above. A great write...............10
great dancer poem a near picture of I...retired ex comp dancher met in a ballroom and still go dancing 3 times a week loved reading it...the main thing it has done for us is we are extremely fit with legs like coilo springs with no last dance in sight...regards
Music makes our romance the eternal dance, Moves on the ballroom floor slow but graceful, Like swans on a ripple free lake, These lines are lovely Hazel! ! I am happy I could locate this site! The example of that elderly couple who are still supple who recieved love and grace from above is so very inspirational. Even the last dance can be graceful! ! Top marks!
A lovely poem. I lost my wife 12 months ago and she is alive in my poetry.
a long beautiful piece of writing, brightened with the fire of emotions..it is embellished with lovely metaphors and similes like 'swans on the ripple free water' adding beauty to the poem. With our souls soaring with the rhythm of living, The art we learnt, cherished, is the beauty of giving, ...beautiful lines
Have been locked out of PH all weekend, hence the delay in commenting Hazel. A really lovely write, very inspired with some beautiful lines - enjoyed reading very much.
This poem has gone straight to my favourite list of poems, Masterpiece, a touch of reality, philosophy and the bitter truth that we have a frail and fragile body, beyond rating. Loved it.All my adjectives will exhaust if I had to write about this poem.
