The Last Bachelor Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

The Last Bachelor

The Last Bachelor, forever alone,
A man of mystery, with no family or home.
No one to share his joys or tears,
No one to hold in his arms and fears.
He roams the streets, with a heavy heart,
A soul so lost, and a life apart.
No wedding bells, no bachelor's pad,
Just memories of love that he once had.
He was once a charmer, a gentleman so suave,
With a twinkle in his eye, and a heart that gave.
But fate played its game, and love went astray,
Leaving him with a void, that never went away.
He watched his friends, one by one,
Get married and start living, a life of fun.
But he remained, the last of his kind,
A bachelor for life, with no one to bind.
He wonders if he'll ever find,
A love that's true, and a heart so kind.
But he's afraid, it's too late now,
For love has left him, with a broken vow.
He spends his days, in quiet solitude,
With memories of a love, that once bloomed.
His heart still yearns, for a companion to share,
But fate has decided, he's a bachelor, rare.
So he embraces his life, as a solitary man,
With no regrets, and no future plans.
For he knows, that love may never come,
But he'll live on, with his bachelor's charm.
The Last Bachelor, a legend he'll be,
A man with a story, that's bittersweet.
For he'll always be remembered, as the one,
Who remained a bachelor, till his days were done.
