The Lamb Has Dreams Poem by Joseph D E Phillips

The Lamb Has Dreams

The lamb has dreams to beat
the shepherd who will bind
her brave and lion-like feet.

He laughs upon his seat.
His prison is the kind
the lamb has dreams to beat.

Obsession is a treat,
for she'll begin to find
her brave and lion-like feet.

Such fire! Oh, such heat
of such a heart and mind
the lamb has dreams to beat!

She won't accept defeat.
Continually she'll grind
Her brave and lion-like feet.

The rope will snap quite neat.
She'll leave it far behind.
The lamb has dreams to beat
her brave and lion-like feet.
