The Knight Poem by Sophie Allyah

The Knight

From what I had learned
He smells nice, educated and firm
A good person and handsome as well
He is brave, with his stand, I can tell

May you fat, strong, big, ugly or stupid
He will smite you without the meed
He's a real gentle to all meekly humans
With children and ladies as growing fans

But when in battle, in precise
Is the one that I really despised
With his metal shining armor
The shield, the sword and his core

Now, this will end very ugly
As the narrator, I'll end this abruptly
Since I'm also an unappealing enemy
But not one of the main characters, sadly

Like many enemies of this gallant
I'll die screaming without uttering a word
I'm one of those reckless assailant
A nameless guy in battle, slain by his sword
