The Junta's Prayer Poem by Sekyewa Godfrey

The Junta's Prayer

Our Jajja who art in Statehouse.
Hallowed be thy throne.
Thy reign prevail.
Thy will be done in the judiciary
As it is in the parliament.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our tresspasses
(Forgive us for desiring your throne)
As we forgive those who abduct us in drones.
And lead us not into another bloody election,
But deliver us from this looming tyranny.
For thine is the throne,
The army, and the police,
For ever and ever again.
Amen.
